Ms. Thibault joined Weston Consulting in November of 2015. Prior to joining the private sector, Jenna worked for the Regional Municipality of York in the Long Range Planning Department.
Jenna completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Biology at Queen’s University in Kingston in 2013. Following this, she received her Master of Planning Degree from the Queen’s School of Urban and Regional Planning in 2015. During her planning studies, Jenna had the opportunity to work on client-based projects and complete her own individual research. She worked with the KFL&A (Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington) Public Health Unit to develop an Active and Sustainable Transportation Strategy for the redevelopment of a new hospital in Kingston. Jenna’s Master’s Report research focused on assessing the age-friendliness of different neighbourhoods in Kingston with respect to their built environment features and public transportation facilities.
Since joining Weston Consulting, Ms. Thibault’s focus has been on land use planning. She has been involved in range of projects throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area in both larger municipalities such as in Hamilton and Vaughan, and smaller towns such as Grimsby. Jenna’s responsibilities include the coordination and preparation of development applications, due diligence investigations, analyzing highest and best use development opportunities for undeveloped or underutilized sites, and the preparation of planning justification reports.
