Muna Huq

Urban Designer

Ms. Huq holds a Bachelors Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She obtained her Masters Degree in Environmental Studies (MES Planning) from York University, Toronto. She is a provisional member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.

Prior to her work with Weston Consulting, Ms. Huq worked as an architect in the private sector in Bangladesh. She was involved in the design and production of residential apartments, as well as the interior design of residential, commercial and institutional buildings. She is a registered architect and a member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB).

Ms. Huq commenced her career with Weston Consulting in 2007. Her responsibilities include the design of preliminary concepts, site plans, severance plans, schedules for various planning documents and exhibits for Ontario Municipal Board hearings, as well as the preparation of various colour graphics for inclusion in reports.

As a planner her responsibilities include research and analysis of planning policies, preparation of preliminary due diligence reports, research and analysis of urban design issues together with the preparation of urban design reports for various projects.
