Mr. Guetter graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2003 with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours) degree in planning. Mr. Guetter is a full member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners and is a Registered Professional Planner.
During his time at the University of Waterloo, Mr. Guetter participated in an exchange program in 2003, which involved academic studies at Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Guetter joined Weston Consulting in 2004 and was appointed as an Associate in 2008. Since joining the firm, Mr. Guetter has developed his land use planning skills and professional services to both public and private sector clients. Mr. Guetter has experience in the areas of feasibility studies, development proformas, urban design, community master plans, subdivision design, zoning by-laws, and the preparation of optimal use studies and options analyses. Mr. Guetter routinely represents clients before Municipal Councils’ and Committees and has appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board as an expert witness.
In his role as Senior Vice President, Mr. Guetter manages a wide range of complex projects in various municipalities throughout Ontario, which often involve the preparation and processing of planning applications including secondary plans, official plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments, draft plans of subdivision and condominium, site plans, consent applications, and minor variance applications. Mr. Guetter also assists in personnel and recruitment matters.
