Sandra Patano


Ms. Patano holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree (2002) and Masters of Environmental Studies (Planning) degree (2004) from York University. She is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in Ontario.

During her academic career, Ms. Patano did extensive research on the Oak Ridges Moraine and the Niagara Escarpment. Ms. Patano presented her research at the American Geographers Association’s Annual Conference in New Orleans (2003) and in Philadelphia (2004). Ms. Patano has published in the Canadian Geographer and Ontario Planning Journal.

Ms. Patano commenced her career in 2005 when she joined the Weston Consulting team as a Junior Planner. Ms. Patano’s expertise is in land use planning and development. She has provided professional services, including research and analysis of land use options; preparation of due diligence reports; site investigations; preparation of ‘Highest and Best Use’ studies, land use planning reports, and options analysis reports; coordination, processing, preparation, and monitoring of various development applications including official plan and zoning by-law amendments, plan of subdivision and condominium, site plan approval, consent and minor variance applications; and preparation for Ontario Municipal Board hearings.

Ms. Patano currently functions as a file manager and is involved in a full range of land use planning and development related projects.
