Weston Consulting was retained by Stafford Homes to pursue the necessary planning approvals to permit this commercial development at 1485 Elgin Mills Road in the Town of Richmond Hill.
A minor variance and consent application was required to sever this property into two lots, distinguishing the portion of the site already developed from vacant underutilized lands located directly south. The Committee of Adjustment granted the severance on condition that an Official Plan Amendment, Re-zoning and Site Plan application be approved for the newly created lot within a period of 12 months.
Weston Consulting worked with the client to amend the Secondary Plan and Zoning By-law and obtain Site Plan approval for two free-standing commercial buildings with permissions for a wider range of commercial uses within this designated timeframe.
